How to Set BaseTab as Your New Tab Page
BaseTab transforms your browser's new tab into a fully customizable workspace with widgets, bookmarks, and productivity tools. Follow this quick guide to get started in under a minute.
1Visit the Extension Store
Open the Chrome Web Store (or your browser's extension store) and search for "BaseTab" — or click the "Add to Chrome" button on basetab.ai to go directly to the listing.
2Install the Extension
Click the "Add to Chrome" (or "Get" for Edge) button on the store listing. A confirmation dialog will appear — click "Add Extension" to proceed.
3Open a New Tab
Once installed, simply open a new tab (Ctrl+T or Cmd+T). BaseTab will automatically replace your default new tab page with your new customizable workspace.
4Sign In to Sync Your Data
Click the user icon or sign-in prompt to log in with your Google account. This enables cloud sync so your widgets, bookmarks, and settings are available across all your devices.
5Customize Your Workspace
Click the "+" button to add widgets like bookmarks, notes, weather, clock, and more. Drag and resize widgets to create your perfect layout.
